AALI is a six-week leadership program offered in the fall for UT students and focuses on developing leadership skills and increasing awareness in social justice issues in the Asian American community. These six workshops will be exploring leadership development skills such as program planning, budgeting, and public speaking, in addition to educating students on contemporary Asian American issues in society. AALI is designed to create effective student leaders on campus and in a professional environment as well as broadening student perspectives on Asian American social identity and activism. The institute is a great way for students to become more involved in networking opportunities as they meet fellow students and professional leaders. Sessions will be held every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. starting on September 23rd. Students who participate in AALI will receive an official diploma from the Multicultural Engagement Center (MEC) - SAC 1.102 as well as the chance to intern for APAC in the Spring semester.
Please come to either info session to learn more about AALI, we would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting and preparing you to become an outstanding leader for communities in need.
